Our Story

The year was 1990. Brilliant Opals was born in a small town north of New South Wales where Gary and Fiona stepped into the world of fine jewellery as apprentices, cutting and polishing rough opals sourced directly from the opal mines of Lightning Ridge.

In the following years, the couple decided to venture into gemstones and diamonds. They started off selling to friends and family in Taiwan, before wholesaling pieces to jewellery retailers in the country.

Returning to Singapore in 1993, Brilliant Opals Jewellery opened its retail showroom in International Plaza where it remains till today, crafting precious jewellery for customers to cherish for generations to come.
